Customized Surface Treatment Process: SR-3000 takes rutile titanium dioxide as its core, covered with an inorganic zirconium-aluminum coating. This coating significantly improves the product's weather resistance and chemical stability, and enhances resistance to UV aging. Compared with ordinary uncoated products, the finished product is less prone to yellowing and chalking. The additional organic surface treatment further optimizes the surface affinity of particles, allowing it to disperse faster and more uniformly in different resin systems, fundamentally reducing the problem of flocculation and agglomeration. The compounded calcium carbonate reduces the overall formulation cost without significantly reducing the hiding power of the system, and also improves the storage stability of the finished product, avoiding layered sedimentation during storage. • Inherent Performance Advantages: The rutile crystal type itself has a higher refractive index than the anatase crystal type. SR-3000 fully retains the excellent hiding power and tinting strength of rutile titanium dioxide, which can provide full whiteness and soft gloss for various products, with stable and reliable basic coloring performance. Extended Application Value by Field • Interior & Exterior Architectural Coatings and Emulsion Paints: Its excellent weather resistance adapts to long-term outdoor exposure, helping the coating maintain stable color and structural strength for a long time. The outstanding hiding power reduces the dosage of titanium dioxide in the formula, while improving the leveling property and adhesion to the wall, which is suitable for most home decoration and engineering coating systems. • Powder Coatings and Automotive Primers: The inorganic zirconium-aluminum coating improves the heat stability of the product, allowing it to easily withstand the high temperature environment during the processing and curing of powder coatings. In automotive primers, it provides excellent substrate hiding power, and also assists in improving the anti-rust performance of the primer, laying a solid foundation for subsequent topcoat construction. • Ink: Its excellent dispersibility allows it to adapt to different types of ink resin systems, providing a uniform and stable white base, while improving the friction resistance and light resistance of the finished ink, so that printed products will not fade easily after long-term use. • Plastics, Masterbatches and Rubber: It adapts to the high-temperature processing of plastic extrusion, injection molding and rubber mixing. Extended Core Process and Performance Advantages SR-3000 adopts fine zirconium-aluminum binary inorganic coating technology, which is different from single aluminum coating products. The introduction of zirconium forms a denser inert protective layer on the surface of titanium dioxide particles, which not only blocks the damage of ultraviolet rays to the matrix, but also isolates the direct contact between particles and the external acid-base environment, greatly improving the stability of the product in acid-base formulation systems, and adapting to most general industrial formulations with a pH value of 4-10. The organic treatment uses low-polarity polyol surface modification, which allows the particles to better adapt to oily, solvent-based and powder systems, while retaining compatibility with water-based systems, achieving "one material for multiple uses" and reducing formulation development costs. The compounded calcium carbonate is activated light nano-scale calcium carbonate, and its particle size forms a gradient match with titanium dioxide, which can fill the voids of the system and improve the density of the product without significantly negatively affecting the hiding power of titanium dioxide. In terms of key performance, the product has a titanium dioxide content of about 78%, a L* whiteness of no less than 97.5, a relative scattering power of no less than 105, an oil absorption of 16-20 g/100g, a water suspension pH of 6.5-8.5, and a volatile content of no more than 0.5% at 105℃, which meets all standard indicators of general industrial grade rutile titanium dioxide. Compared with uncoated general rutile titanium dioxide, the biggest advantage of SR-3000 is the balance of versatility and stability. It can be adapted to most general color pastes, coatings and plastic productions without excessive adjustment for different systems, helping manufacturers reduce the types of stock, simplify supply chain management. The compound system also gives it a more competitive cost advantage than pure titanium dioxide, which is very suitable for mass industrial products that are sensitive to cost.
